Kar Sur incense is prepared according to the formulation prescribed in the sacred Buddhist tantric text of Longchen Nyingthik and it contains the best of all fruits, cereals, Rinchen Nge Nga(Five Precious Gems), Holy water. Honey, Sweets and milk products. It is an age-old Buddhist tradition of offering Kar Sur to propitiate the Buddhas,Bodhisattvas and Guardian deities of the ten directions to accmulate one’s merit and most importantly it is also considered to be a great generosiy( Jimpa or Giving- Dana among six paramitas) to alleviate the hunger of all spirits wandering around us and at the same time it helps to protect your family( specially the children) and also neighbours from evil or harm.
