Kar Sur Zhingkham Kunchab incense( Surzey-Pitual) is prepared according to the formulation prescribed in the sacred Buddhist tantric text of longchen Nyingthik and it contains the best of all fruits, cereals, Rinchen Nge Nga(Five Precious Gems), Holy water, honey, Sweets and milk products. It is an age-old Buddhist tradition of offering Kar Sur to propitiate the Buddha, Bodhisattvas and Guardian deities of the ten directions to accumulate one’s merit and most importantly it is also considered to be a great generosity( Jimpa or Giving-Dana among six paramitas) to alleviate the hunger of all spirits wandering around us.
